FBA Fee Discounts, When you Offer Business Discounts on FBA Items!

Are you an Amazon Business seller using FBA? You could be missing out on valuable fulfillment fee discounts! In this post, I’ll break down how Amazon Business FBA multi-unit fulfillment fee discounts work, who’s eligible, and how to make sure you’re getting the savings you deserve.

What is the Amazon Business FBA Multi-Unit Fulfillment Fee Discount?

Amazon Business offers sellers the opportunity to save on FBA fulfillment fees for multi-unit business orders—if you offer qualifying business prices or quantity discounts. This program is open to all Amazon Business sellers with eligible offers.

Why does this matter? If you’re selling to business customers and they buy in bulk, you can pass on savings to them and pay less in FBA fees per unit. That’s a win-win!

Who is Eligible?

To qualify for the FBA fulfillment fee discount, you must:

  • Be an Amazon Business seller using Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA).
  • Offer products in the small-standard or large-standard size tiers. (Large bulky and extra-large products are not eligible.)
  • Provide a 3% or greater discount off the standard price, either through business pricing, quantity discounts, or a combination of both.
  • The discount must apply to the quantity ordered. For example, if you offer a 3% discount on orders of 10+ units, only orders of 10 or more units qualify.

Tip: For more on managing business prices and quantity discounts, check out Amazon’s guide to Business prices and quantity discounts.

How Does the Discount Work?

If your offer qualifies, the per-unit FBA fulfillment fee discount is based on:

  • The product’s size band (small-standard or large-standard)
  • The quantity of that product purchased in a single order

The more units a business customer buys (and the bigger the discount you offer), the more you save on FBA fees per unit.

Note: The discount only applies to purchases made by Amazon Business customers. Not sure how to identify business orders? See Amazon Business FAQs.

How to View Your Discounted FBA Fulfillment Fee

Want to see your savings in action? Here’s how:

  1. Sign in to Seller Central.
  2. Go to Reports > Payments > Transaction view.
  3. Click on the number in the Total column for the transaction.
  4. Look for the line:
"Discount on FBA per unit Pick & Pack fee."
  5. To find the per-unit fee discount, divide this value by the item quantity.

Example Scenario

Let’s say you sell office supplies. You set a business price that’s 3% lower than your standard price, or you offer a 3% quantity discount for orders of 10+ units. A business customer orders 12 units—congrats! You qualify for the FBA fulfillment fee discount on that order.

But if another customer orders only 5 units (and your discount only kicks in at 10+), you won’t get the fee discount for that order.

Key Takeaways

  • Offer at least a 3% discount (business price, quantity discount, or both) to qualify.
  • Only small-standard and large-standard size products are eligible.
  • Discount applies only to Amazon Business customer orders.
  • Check your savings in Seller Central’s Transaction view.
